Have you ever wished you had a librarian sitting on your shoulder helping you do research, despite the ease that many searches can be done on the Internet? Well, now you have the next best thing! We have a service called “Book a Librarian” that enables you to make an appointment with a library staff member so that we can spend quality time helping you develop your search strategy.
If you’re a student and have an assignment to research a person and write a paper about their life and accomplishments, we can direct you to, and show you how to use, the many online sources you have available for doing research without even leaving the comfort of your home.
If you’d like to find books on modern art, we can help you formulate your search to target the most relevant items in the library catalog.
If you’d just like to learn how to place holds in our catalog, or how to make lists of books for yourself, we’d be happy to sit down with you and show you how to do these things.
If you have questions about technology, such as how to download e-books or how to use Microsoft Word, we can also help with that.
Just ask a staff member to schedule a “Book a Librarian” session for you and we’ll do our best to get you up to speed in the research or technical area you’re interested in.

What a great service. I love our library. I've been using it much more lately (I've slowed down by book-collecting) and I can't get enough of our library. It's really fantastic.
